Integrated Algebra Part II 

 

 

How to Succeed in Integrated Algebra Part II:

 

 

1.     Arrive on time and get organized for class.  GET READY BEFORE THE BELL RINGS!!

(a)     On time means being in your seat when the bell rings.

(b)     Lates must be accompanied by a legitimate pass. Sign the late book!

(c)      Begin quietly working on the NIKE. (Just do it!) 

 

2.     Come to class prepared.

(a)     Have your homework on your desk ready to be checked.

(b)     Bring all materials, binders, notes, pencils, pens and calculator EVERYDAY.

(c)      You will not be permitted to leave the classroom once class has started.

 

3.     Be Respectful.

(a)     Respect yourself, others and their property.

(b)     Raise your hand and wait to be called on.  Everyone deserves the opportunity to participate.

(c)      Please do not talk when the teachers in the room are talking.

There is absolutely no name-calling, bullying, or discriminating in this class.

 

4.     Always do your best.

(a)     We understand that your best is going to change from moment to moment.  It will be different when you are healthy as opposed to sick.  Under any circumstance, simply do your best and you will avoid any regrets.

 

 

Your AVERAGE will be determined by:

TESTS

50%                   We will have several tests each marking period.  They will always be announced several days in advance.  If you are legally absent for the test, you should be prepared to take it the day you return.

TESTS ARE CUMULATIVE. 

QUIZZES

30%               We will have several quizzes each marking period.  They may or may not be announced.  Be sure to take good notes because some of them will be open book quizzes.

 

HOMEWORK

10%               To receive full credit for a homework assignment, it must be completed on time with every problem attempted and all work shown

REWARDS:       The greatest reward is the satisfaction and fulfillment that comes from knowing that with some hard work and perseverance, you can achieve your goals and be successful!

 

AND

·         For every 5 consecutive, fully completed HWs, you will receive a homework pass that may be used at anytime except when a HW is graded.

 

Materials needed daily:                Binder with sections for Notes, Assignments and Tests.
